Biographical sketch

Margaret Blazhynska was born in 1996 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. After obtaining in 2014 the associate of arts degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the college of the National University of Pharmacy in Kharkiv, she entered V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Chemistry department, Kharkiv, Ukraine. Starting from 2017, she worked as a research assistant in the Material Science/Computational Chemistry laboratory in the group of Prof. Dr. Alexander Kyrychenko at the same University. Her Bachelor thesis was “Molecular dynamics simulation of a stimuli-responsive coating of silver nanoparticles with poly(2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate)”. After spending the first year of her Master’s degree in her hometown, she was invited to complete her studies at the University of Lille, Lille, France. Her Master’s thesis was “Molecular dynamics simulations of structure and dynamics of dye-functionalized titanium dioxide nanomaterials.” The results of her work are presented as part of the Joint Ukraine-France R&D project “DNIPRO” for the period of 2019 – 2020 “High-performance photovoltaic solar cells based on new dye-sensitizers. Molecular design and optimization of the photoinduced process”. Currently, Margaret is a doctoral student in the group of Christophe Chipot and François Dehez in Nancy and working on the research of collective variables for the modeling of allosteric transitions in complex biological objects and their application to CLpP proteases.
